Background

I've worked for 12 years as a web & mobile developper, UI designer, system engineer and project manager.
With experience as an entrepreneur at the age of 16, as a freelance, in a web agency and in an IT department at a larger company in which i'm currently employed near Nantes (44).

I've toyed with lots of opensource technologies related to security hardening, high-availability/redundancy, performance/latency and so on, mostly on UNIX systems. Debian being my favorite.

Apart from system architecture and administration I work on web applications interfaces from scratch or using CSS/JS Frameworks such as Bootstrap, Foundation or Semantic UI. My backend specialty is PHP which I've grown to be extremely efficient with. In the past I've also used more decent languages like Perl, Python and Ruby in a lesser extent. I mostly develop using my own MVC framework Polyfony, inspired by Symfony and Laravel but tailored to favour my inclination towards simplicity and efficiency.
This allows me to have impressive results in terms of production time compared to most developers.

I've studied most radical anti-technology philosophers, this has a huge impact on the way I approach technology-related issues and solutions in my day to day work.

About 14 years ago, I've worked in the graphics industry under the wing of a very good graphics designer, and kept a strong affinity for design, fonts, and overall aesthetics. That strong and rigorous print background helps me a lot in producing ergonomic and nice looking softwares. From time to time I also get back on InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator to produce visual identities, leaftlets, sales prochures or even mailings templates. Also, having scored 980 on 990 at TEOIC, I am fluent in english.

I do like challenges, learning new stuff and delivering ergonomic, fast and reliable IT solutions to make my colleagues and clients happier. .

On average, my monthly intake of new knowledge is around 50 hours (on my freetime). To that, my current employer adds a R&D day per week. I mainly learn in the fields of IT security (DEFCON conferences, MISC mag...), energy systems, acoustics, electronics, chemistry, mechanical engineering and anything science or philosophy related.
